I have yet another bug to add to my weird-bugs-spotted-in-my-house list.

A grasshopper... A giant grasshopper...

Giant and green grasshopper...

That flies and climbs up walls...

It was probably the size of my phone, length wise...

It was late at night and the only people awake were me and my sisters and we are ALL afraid of creepy crawlies. We ended up hiding in the kitchen, behind the glass door (perfect for hiding from strange things). While we were in there, I was trying to think about how we could handle the situation. One of the ideas that came up was: We could trap it under a shoe box, paste a post-it over it that said 'GIANT GRASSHOPPER' and see what happens to it the next morning.

Unfortunately, we couldn't do that because we were in the kitchen and there are no shoe boxes in the kitchen. To get to one, one of us will have to walk pass the damn thing which was now on the wall. So the box idea wouldn't work anyway.

Eventually, we decided to wake my parents and ask them for help. My dad caught it. And flung it out the window. That ended our bug horror story of the night...

Lesson learnt: DO NOT leave the windows at the living room open late at night. The window faces trees, which attracts all the funny things that I've come across in my house.
